The Britax and the Nautilus are pretty big seats. A few you might want to check out are the Diono Radian, Evenflo Maestro, and Cosco Scenera. How much do your kids weight and how tall are they?

You should be able to go to any Babies R Us store and try the various seats in your car to see if you can get a combination to fit. HTH! I know how frustrating it can be to puzzle 3 seats across.

I never thought about going to an actual store and trying!

I'm trying to remember what the narrow-ish booster was that I heard about. And its driving me crazy cause I can't, ARGH. I almost want to say Graco Turbobooster, but I'm not sure.

My opinion would be either 2 Radians or Maestro for your DS and Radian for your DD. I wouldn't go with the Scenera in this instance because my DS outgrew his Scenera RFing at about 33 inches (and 16months old). The Scenera gets the average child to 2 years RFing, but my DS is a bit above average and it sounds like your DD might be a tall one too :)

How old of a child would you carpool? If he or she is 3 then I would not put them in a booster seat. The minimum age for a booster is 5 to 6 years old. A child too small can be hurt by the booster seat. Also its easier to have 3 seats with 5pt harness across then to have 2 5pt seats and one booster. The reason is it can be hard to put your hand in between the seats to buckle the booster in. You can go to a store like babies r us to try seats out. Dawn
