I found this new seat by Evenflo. It just came out on Dec 11. Its called the Evenflo Secure kid. It's a combo seat that goes to 65 lbs with a 5pt harness then goes to 100 lbs as a booster seat. I will post a link below. This looks like a really nice seat. It is also below 150 dollars. HTH Dawn
I would not buy the generations. The IIHS does not recommend to use this seat as a booster seat. The seat belt doesn't put fit the child right. It puts the lap belt to high across the stomach not hips and shoulder belt can be to high or to low. You would be best of buying the Evenflo Maestro it's cheaper and makes a better booster seat that is recommended by the IIHS. It doesn't last as long as a booster seat like the Graco Nautilus, but the harness height is about the same. So your kiddo can stay harnessed for the same amount of time. I am buying my friends son this seat. I have not heard of anyone's kiddo being uncomfortable in this seat. You could buy it at Target and take it back if your child is not comfortable in the seat. There are not very many seats that have a 5pt harness that become a good booster seat over 40lbs. Dawn
