I don't know about that particular seat (I haven't been looking at boosters, my DS is only 2.5) but I do know what keeps a booster in the vehicle. Its the seat belt, only difference is instead of going through a belt path in the 5pt harness, its going around the child, just like it does you. So in a sense it is the combination of the weight of the child plus the seat belt keeping child and booster secure in the car. Does that make sense?

The previous poster is correct. The booster seat is held down by the child's weight.

I get the immpression that the seat is no good :0( The sales lady seemed to know what she was talking about too. I'll take it back for a refund. What is a better choice?

What HBB is it? I don't know boosters, as I said, but if we don't know exactly what seat it is, we can't give you any advice on how "good" or "bad" it might be. Its fine for an almost 6 year old to start booster training. So in that sense as long as the seat fits the cars it will be used in and child well (holding the belt across his shoulder and upper thighs/hips) then it is a fine seat. HTH some.

There is nothing wrong with the Parkway SG. I had the earlier Parkway. We loved the seat, my youngest son and I where looking at car seats last night

Hey Dawn, is the Parkway (or SG version) the only Britax HBB? Just wondering :)

Thanks. I've told DH that the earliest I will consider putting DS into a booster even PT is 5 years old. So I've got about 2.5 years before I'll be shopping for a booster, but little tibits of info are always helpful.
