I have two kids.  They ride in my car more often than DH.  DH brings them to school each day and ocassionaly picks up.  Most pick up and weekend driving is done by me.  My DS is 60 pounds and will be 8 in November.  He is in the 95th percentile for height.  In my Toyota Sienna he sits passenger outboard in a Britax Regent.  My DD is 3 1/2 and about 35 pounds.  She sits FF in the middle seat of the second row in a Boulevard.  The Sienna has a pull forward feature in the 8 seater model.  In my DH's Toyota RAV4, DS is in a Sunshine Kids Monteray booster in passenger outboard and DD is ff in a Wizard driver outboard.  I have two questions:

1.  Does this seating arragement sound like the safest option?

2.  The WZ will be expiring soon.  What should I but her next?

They sound very safe. The middle is only slightly safer then the outboard seats. Its really minor. I am curious what harness height is your 7 year old at in the Regent? Remember a forward facing seat is out grown one of 3 ways. They are at the weight limit which he isn't. 2 there shoulders go over the top slots or 3 the tips of the ears go over the top of the seat.

When does the Wizard expire? If your older son is about to outgrow the Regent by height I would pass that seat down and put the Boulevard in the other car and buy your almost 8 year old a new booster seat for your car. How well does he ride in a booster seat in dads car? If he does well he would be perfectly safe in your car in a booster seat.
