Cosco Scenera - Instalation

I just purchased and installed (rearfacing) in my mom's car (Lincoln towncar, I think) the Cosco Scenera.  I used a pool noodle as recommended at the seat base for a slight recline.  The base is secure with the seat belt but the top of the seat seems to be pretty wiggly, much more so than my Graco MyRide which is in my Kia Sportage with the LATCH.  Is there something else I should be doing with this installation?  Or is this okay?  Or is this just not a good seat for my moms car?

Thanks for your help.

I also have a Scenera in my ILs car and as my travel seat. It never installs as tightly as my Marathon, but I can always get it tight enough so that there is almost no movement of the base. As long as you can't shake it more than 1 inch at the belt path, then you are ok. Shaking of the top of the seat doesn't matter. My Marathon quickly and easily installs tightly enough to shake the car with it, but I have different expectations of the Scenera.

FWIW I also have to use a pool noodle, and I have never gotten a good LATCH install with this seat, so I always use the seatbelt like you did.

that's sounds like a perfect install. tight at the belt path is all you need. the top is going to feel flimsy & is A-OK
