Hello a front facing seat is outgrown one of 3 ways. 1 the weight limit is reached 2 the shoulders go over the top slot or 3 the tops of the ears go over the tops of the seat. It sounds like you might have a little more time left. As you noticed the Frontier will last longer as a 5pt harness and as a booster seat. It has the highest harness height as a 5pt harness and the booster seat is the tallest as well as it goes to 120lbs. Also the Fronter last for 9 years so it would be the last seat you need to buy though you might want to buy a no back booster latter on if she still is in a seat at 9 plus but that's a personal choice as my youngest was in a booster seat till he was 12 and used a high back booster seat. There is also the Recaro Prosport but the harness height is 2 inches shorter then the Frontier for about the same price. It does look neat though if you did want to look at it. It should harness most kids till about 6 years old. Dawn
