Recommendation for convertible seat & booster questions

DS is 3 yo and has a evenflo triumph advance. He is just about 40lbs now. I have a 10 month old and need to get him a convertible seat. I thought about giving the evenflo to my baby and getting my older DS a new seat, maybe one that turns into a booster? I want to keep oldest DS in a seat as long as possible (as opposed to switching to booster) but I am afraid that the evenflo will expire before the baby outgrows it, it was bought in Dec 2008. I do like the evenflo so should I just buy a new one for the baby and cross the booster road when I have to? Baby is about 20lbs & in the 75th percentile for height (not sure exact
inches). I have a 2006 Honda pilot. My other issue is I have to buy 3 seats. My car, DH, & grandparents who drive them a lot. I also have another babysitters who I need to buy a seat for but the hardly drive anywhere with them so I don't need as nice of a seat ( but still a safe one obviously:) loaning my seat to them is not an option as I drop them off every thurs & fri at 6am & pick them up at 8pm. Seems like too much work to reinstall the seat every time. Thanks so much for any advice anyone can give me:)

Does your oldest currently have 3 or 4 seats that you are passing down to your youngest?Does he have one car he is in more often then the others? The seat you mentioned will expire 6 years from the date of manufacture not purchase so it might have about 3 more years.

Yes you could buy a Frontier for your car.
