Suggestions for a convertible/all-in-one?

Hi!
My little one is currently in a graco snugride 35 carrier from the travel system, but she's getting too big for it (she's 18lbs and 29" long - and it's getting too heavy for me to lug around).

The problem with all in one seats is they may do one thing well but not everything well. They sound wonderful but in the case with this seat. I was reading on another board its a short seat. Its out grown early rear facing and one poster said the booster seat was out grown by her 6 year old. Also its a wide seat.Is your 10 year old in a booster seat? Do you want the seat next to to your 10 year old or will one be on one the passenger and the other drivers side?
Have you looked into the Radian car seat. I know its a convertable it will last you a long time. I will post a link to int below. Its a very narrow seat and will fit on the narrow seat.

Hi, thanks!
LOL Yes, that makes sense. But I have such problems with the handle and almost cracking her head on it (it doesn't fit to the higher two positions in the car to remove her easily). I was just reading that she sizes out of it at 32 inches, so I really need to pick it up. She's growing like a weed!!!
Yes you can. Some stores even let you try out the seats in the car before you buy. Do you have a Babies R Us near you? Dawn
Yeah, and some (most, actually) infant buckets require the handle to be up while driving. I've heard of one that requires it to be down, which sucks cause the seat takes up lots of front to back room. Can you put the handle down or at least angle it back to get her in and out then put it up to drive? I don't know if you handle locks stick or are just difficult to reach or what not, lol.
According to Graco, the handle should be up (directly over child) or down (sitting position, behind seat). There are 4 total positions, ABCD. A being over child, D being sitting position. So while in the car it should be A or D. D definitely doesn't work because I'd never get it out if needed, lol. The only way I wouldn't crack her head is if it were in C position, which doesn't fit (it hits the headrest and we have a DVD screen).
Everyone thinks the bucket/carriers are so great, until you have one and then you remember why they aren't. LOL I should have remembered from my son!
If she has time left I may as well see if I can maneuver the handle or just get the stroller ready with the stroller blanket and put the car seat in the car in position D and leave it at that. ;)
Thanks!!
