I thought i was going to get a nautilus for my almost 4 year old but now i come here and i read about the evenflo maestro. I already had questions about the evenflo generations. So i'm a single mom of 5 on a budget. Their dad might or might not send money for a new carseat. Whatever. I'm trying to find the most cost effective way to keep the three little ones in carseats for the longest time possible. My priority is to keep them rearfacing and harnessed as long as possible.
The oldest one in a car seat turns 4 in september. She's my tiny girl. She is currently in a graco comfort sport, the harness is at her shoulders and is forward facing. She is 30 lbs and 37.25 inches tall. #2 turns 2 in september. He is neck and neck with his sister. He is 34 inches and 26 lbs, rearfacing in an evenflo triumph.
The baby is 2.5 months old in an evenflo infant seat and will soon be in the top slot harness wise. He is 23 inches and 10 lbs. So he has awhile still.
What should i get the 4 year old? What is the difference between the generation and the maestro? I have a 20% off coupon at BRU. With it, the generation is $80 only 9 dollars more than the maestro at Sears.
I know that the nautilus turns into a booster but is it worth the extra 75-82 dollars?
thanks for your help ladies.
