When the child exceeds 40 pounds and 52'?

Please help with this confusion. As a grandma with a just turned 4 year old grandchild in the car a few times a week, I am looking for a new inexpensive, yet safe, seat. The Cosco high back booster has a five point harness that works till "the child exceeds 40 pounds and 52 inches" My granddaughter is very short (5th percentile). She will hit 40 pounds well before the height limit. Does this mean she can safely stay in the 5 point harness past forty pounds or is it not safe when exceeding one of the requirements? She has a Graco Nautilas 3/1 in her mom's car. Thank you for your help,
The Maestro is a great seat! It has nice high harness slots so it will last about as long as the Nautilus. It doesn't last long as a booster seat since the headrest is not adjustable, but booster seats are much cheaper.
I just wanted to make sure you know how to tell when the seat is too small. You already know about the weight limit. Most children usually outgrow the car seat by torso length. The top harness slot should be AT or ABOVE the child's shoulders. Once the child's shoulders are above the top harness slot, the seat is outgrown. A child can also outgrow a seat if their ears are above the top of the shell, but this doesn't happen very often.
Hope that helps!
