Can I join? My name is Abigail. I am happilly married and the mother of 2 girls; Sarah (2.5 YO) and Samantha (5 weeks). I guess I am maybe different to many here in that I am older (42), financially OK (we've had longer to earn and save our money) and frugal by nature, upbringing and habit rather than by necessity. Luckilly for me, my DH is also frugal, which makes for hamonious living; at least on the financial front... It is a different story on the mess / hoarding front!

I have been lurking here for a few weeks and have already picked up some great tips.

I do cloth diapers, we make all our food from scratch and we rarely shop name brand. I buy most of our clothes and big items on eBay. We are loving having the second baby. She is incredibly easy to care for; eats and sleeps like a champ and rarely cries. And with them both being girls it seems like we have everything we need and then some.

The new baby was born 3lb larger than the first baby so I already have 2 crates of outgrown clothes. Some of them I will happilly sell on eBay, but there are so many that seem so sentimental; what do you do to store the things that you cannot bear to sell or give away? This will be our last child and there are no little nieces or nephews in the foreseeable future.

Welcome Abigail! I had a hard time letting go of a few particular outfits too. The baptism ones are hanging in the nursery closet with plastic bags over them. And I kept one or 2 newborn outfits for each child which are inside their baby keepsake baskets (Longaberger small picnic basket).

Welcome, Abigail! You are more than welcome to join us, of course. We love it when people delurk and become regular members. :)

We have kids very close in age. My DD just turned 3 and my baby is 8 months old. We don't plan on having any more either. I have been happily giving away, consigning and selling baby stuff. I'm so glad to be able to get rid of things like the swing, which take up so much room! I'll be glad when DS outgrows his exersaucer, too. LOL. Although, he is alreayd crawling, and that is the one place I put him to keep him out of trouble for a few minutes. Haha!

Glad to hear your new baby is an easy one. It's a little difficult adjusting to having two in many ways -- simple things like going grocery shopping become a whole new challenge -- so it sure helps to have a good natured baby!
