I have been shopping there lately (it is a grocery store). I think they have good prices and you don't have to have a club card. We have a brand new one close to my house. They double coupons to 50 cents. I know you guys always talk about Aldi't ..........just wondered what your take is on Shopper's.

When I moved from Missouri to Virginia I started shopping there because they were cheaper than Food Lion and the other grocery stores, but it was much higher than what I was used to. In my experience Aldi's is much cheaper.

Thanks,

Denise

Their website is www.aldifoods.com. It looks like there are some stores in that area.

That figures!LOL Aldi's isn't as nice as some other stores, but some of the newer stores in more affluent areas are pretty nice. I don't have one where I live(N. Georgia), but when I used to go I bought all of my crackers, snack food, condiments, brownie or cake mixes, frosting, rice, pasta, canned veggies, soups, canned fruit, lunch meat, cheese, some fresh veggies(whatever might be available), bagged lettuce, frozen waffles, fish sticks, ice cream(VERY GOOD!), pizza, soda, and toilet paper there. I think you can save a significant amount of money there. Also, they carry toys, holiday candy, shoes, etc on occasion. The things that I don't buy because of personal preference are milk, yogurt, and meat. I would say that it is worth a try!

Now I miss Aldi!LOL
