February Goals

Anyone have goals for February?

I love reading what others hope to accomplish; it's motivating to me! Here's my list--I'm such a *list person*--for February......

1. Continue w/the shopping exile. Try to come in w/lower spending amounts than I had in Jan.

2. Declutter. I have a couple of specific areas to go through--3 boxes of kids' books I took off bookshelf a few weeks ago, a small dresser of vhs movies, the drawers in my dresser. Possibly our master bedroom closet if I finish those.

3. Finish taxes and FAFSA. Hopefully this will be crossed off the list by next weekend.

4. Plan and take weekend trip. The kids have a 4-day weekend for Presidents' Day. We're thinking about heading up to Hannibal to see Mark Twain's boyhood home and then swing over to Springfield, IL to do the Lincoln stuff.

5. Stop procrastinating on making a few phone calls to set up some dr. appts. Why is that something I even need to put on a list???????

Oh yeah - DS's clothes are just the tip of the iceberg and something that I have to do every season.

I like to read others' responses, too. It gives me ideas :) And I *love* having monthly goals. It makes me feel like I'm accomplishing something - and it's so much easier to break things down into monthly goals than to try to tackle "XYZ" in 2010.

1. Keep February spending low enough so that Jan and Feb combined average out to be under my monthly limits. I have a very difficult time resisting sales b'cuz I'd rather pay less for it now (when I don't yet need it) than more later (when I do need it).

2. Make my sister's room (and the spare bedroom) more livable and less like a storage room exploded in there. We have furniture that we don't need along with a bunch of "crap" that needs to go.

3. Use the Wii at least 3 times per week. I'm still waiting for the Wii Fit to get here, but in the meantime I can play the Wii Sports and whatever other games my husband rents from work (for free!). Getting off my butt in any way counts, right?

4. Lose 4 more pounds. In order to stay on track for my original goal (down to 140 pounds by Alexis's 2nd birthday), I need to be losing about 1.25 pounds per week. I'm being realistic, though, that I'll loose more weight after I get my Wii Fit and when it gets warm enough outside to walk.

5. Go for at LEAST a 15 minute walk any day it's above 35* with no precipitation.

1. get items together for consignment sale and list them

2. go out to eat twice

3. exercise in the mornings (Jillian Micheals kick my you-know-what)

4. file taxes (still waiting on a w-2 and need to get paperwork from 2 daycares)

5. leave work on time

5. B. love myself and my family enough to put us as a priority and pray for guidance in that area.

1. Do the taxes. I keep repeating it like a mantra in my head. Do the taxes Steph, do the taxes. Can you tell how much I do not want to do the taxes?

2.Get the kids on the waiting list for pre-school next year. Last year I put this off and ended up having to put the kids in a school that really wasn't my first (or second) choice. Hopefully this year I can get them in the school that is literally a half mile from my house.

3. Get the materials so we can make a lighted seed stand and then make it.

4. And now that we have the brand new stand I need to start my seeds. This will be the very end of the month but I do need to go pick up my seeds as well from the garden center.

5.
