To be blunt do you really need 95 little people figures? I have this problem a lot, we have a giant bucket of star wars figures, they loved them we bought a ton and 6 months later they are in a bin on a shelf, most with no heads and of very little value. Ok outside of that, yes, $1 each is a good price. You can buy extra people (used to anyway) and they came in 3 packs for some insane price of like $8-10 (amazon has a few 3 packs and they are $10+). Craigslist is another good option and garage sales... I sold all ours off for a quarter a piece a few years back in a garage sale. The little people are great and my kids loved them, we still have a farm set and the bus for the little ones but the others just took up too much space. I just caution you on going overboard and spending possibly $95 on something your son could loose interest in really fast.

I didn't look at the prices or anything. I just sold our Little People on CL fairly cheap. My ds loved them for almost 10 years on and off. So the love could last a long time. When they got bored of them, I'd put them up, tell them they were off limits, then drag them out again and they'd be in love again.

It's ok to buy them used. They go thru the dishwasher just fine, then they are clean and ready to go again!

Just an FYI if your child still loves them by Christmas check Target after Christmas sale. You can get their Christmas figurines which are sold in singles, usually in a little stocking for up to 90% off.
