Thanks for posting this, as I continually save links that are of great help!! I love this one, too! I am going to copy or print out the 37-page booklet she has on there for feeding a family of 4 for $200/month (the link is in the left margin). I already do a lot of what she suggests in shopping and planning, but I LOVE the homemade recipe mixes she has at the end of the booklet!! Again, Thanks!

Thanks for the link!

I just bookmarked the home page of that site, read the "how to feed a family of 4 for $200 a month" booklet, and it inspired me to start dinner at 1:00 PM! I took out my crock pot, added lentils, barley, powdered soup mix, a few veggies I had on hand, and water. Then I noticed the apple juice the kids didn't finish at breakfast and decided to make some apple-oat muffins.

A lot of the specific recipes listed on that site won't work for my family, but I do think that I should get more organized about food shopping and preparation. This will give me both time to work on starting my business AND

oddly, i just spent $26 today, on basically that stuff! lol~ flour, milk, veggies, potatoes, rice, bullion (to make broth, as dd and i are both a bit under the weather), and a couple other things- yeast, to make some more bread (yeah, we're that desperate at the moment! that's what you get when you put bills off, and rent is due, as well as 5 birthdays, and christmas on the way! *sigh* but, we're eating well, for every meal, still. so, i can't complain~)

anyway, thanks for the link! it certainly is giving me more ideas for dinner tonight!

Where did you find the Apple-Oat muffin recipe, or is it one of your own? We always have apple juice here and those sound delicious. Can you post the recipe?
