I combine errands whenever possible. I stay home to save both money and gas! LOL

This will sound odd, but I've been decluttering. I've given away tons of stuff, and sold many things. It's not a lot, but it adds up. And, in the decluttering, it's made me want to NOT buy more stuff!

I've also been cooking dinner out of the freezer. We ate out last night, paid for by my parents after helping them ALL day painting and doing trim in their house. We brought home the left over plain white rice and that will become chicken fried rice (with tonight's leftover chicken) on Tuesday.

This week, I'll be cleaning up a washing machine to sell. And paying down my student loan. Paying a big portion of that loan will save me a gob in interest.

Over the weekend, I did a lot of baking w/extras going into the freezer--homemade hamburger buns & rolls, choc. cupcakes, muffins.

Line-dried laundry.

Loaded up back of Suburban w/bushes that we cut down and hauled it out to a local recycling/yard waste place. Still cost us, but it was cheaper than using bags and paying our trash hauler to take it.

Freecycled 2 outgrown boys' jackets. Not necessarliy frugal for me, but frugal for the 2 families who got the jackets for free! :-)

Got some freebies & near-freebies by taking advantage of sales plus coupons.

I'm sure there were more things, but that's it off the top of my head. Watch for my upcoming post--A Frugal Day in the Life of Kelly. I'm planning on journaling all the frugal things I do in one day.

I talked DH out of having someone come to remove some bushes, trim some bushes, trim some palm trees.

Wow, just about everthing I do these days has some frugal aspect to it!

Walked dogs outside--free exercise!

Washed the car at home (cold but free)

Hung one load of laundry per day

Also combining trips to save gas!

Sticking to my menu for the month, which is saving me money and TIME too.

Using cloth napkins, using old t-shirts for cleaning rags (no more paper towels except for "icky" messes)

Trash-picked a magazine for the coupons I knew were in there.

Using up all the leftovers

Packed lunches for the kids

Keep track of couponing deals/sales

I have been using what is in the house to meals
I needed snack box items for the youngest at school so I pulled some lunch items for that
I pack all my girls lunch every day
I gave dh a coupon for dog food so that helped
I just looked and found enough meals for the next week or so in the freezer including 2 large ground meat tubes I think 5 lbs that I need to just cook up and refreeze in usable sizes to use for quick dinners

Consolidated errands to save gas, picked up an older desktop pc from BIL for our kids to use, used up fridge leftovers, growing vegetable plants from seed instead of buying starts at the nursery, took picnic lunch and drinks to the museum (we have a membership).
