I love that idea of giving coins. My two love money, especially the kind that gets sorted into the piggy banks!

I filled my honey's car with 100 balloons, blown up by me in just under 20 minutes. I bought him a card at the dollar store, and there was BOGO on stuffy's at another store, so my dd bought a stuffy for her bf and I got the free one. $5 (4 pkgs balloons and 1 card) went a long way today!

I like to help DD print Valentine's Day cards from a print-for-free internet site, and then we send them off a week or two early to relatives and close friends.

V-Day is not such a big deal at my house anymore w/only 2 boys at home who are 14 and almost 13. I did pick up some small candy items for them & dh. Bought at Walmart for $1 each and had coupons for $1 off 2, so only .50 each. They just don't care, lol!

Dh & I went out to dinner on Sat. by ourselves. That in itself is a treat. The boys were spending the night at their sister's, 24dd. Then we came home & watched a movie. It was a relaxing, quiet evening.

I have been married for 25 years, some years were better than others in regards to cash on hand. I always included my kids in the treat giving. For the years with less cash on hand I have made:

Heart shaped meatloaf w/ dh's favorite sides ~ and of course a small box of chocolates!

Mini heart shaped cakes w/ filling and then covered in
