garage sale question

I have 2 items that i'm not sure what to price for my garage sale tomorrow and I thought I'd ask you all.

1. Little Tikes Magic Doorbell Playhouse. Retails for $140. I was going to put $60. Is that too high? It's in great shape.

2. Step 2 Firetruck that 2 people ride. Retails for $60. I put $15 on it.

I'm really bad at pricing things. It kills me to put clothes out for 50cent when I know what i paid for them and all the time it takes to set up and actually HAVE the garage sale. But on the other hand I want rid of the stuff and I'll either get 50cents or nothing. Right?

Thanks for your help,

Robin

I'd say it depends on how much you want to get rid of the stuff! Mark it low if you just want it to move.....but stay firm if this is something you are selling IF you can get a decent amount out of it. Someone will probably make you a different offer anyway, no matter how you price it!!!

I was gonna say to go ahead and price them for what you want to sell them for. If you don't see much interest in it, you can always lower it as the day goes on. Those big ticket baby things are *such* a great find for the buyer to get them like new for half price. Unless you have a very slow garage sale-ing area, I think they'll almost always sell unless your price is outrageous.

I'm glad you sold them for your asking price!
