YouCut allows you to voice your opinion, via voting, on what federal govt spending cuts should be made. Here's an article w/more info.

What an interesting, innovative idea! Kudos to whoever thought of it! I've already voted and will continue to do so. Even if Congress can never agree on any of the cuts, at least they'll be getting an idea of what Americans think. Hopefully they can get it together and actually make some spending cuts!

Nope, but like any of us, our county needs to be willing to make hard choices and stop nibbling around the edges. Like the fictional person spending $4000 more than she's making, we need to do more than stop the manicures and shop with coupons. We need to increase income and cut major expenses, not just frivolous things. I think it's entirely do-able. Remember, it wasn't that long ago that we had budget surpluses--back in 1998 - 2000 U.S. revenues exceeded expenses. Of course, back then the economy was doing better, we weren't at war, the number of retirees wasn't so large, and we had a different tax policy. I think we can get back to that, but the people spending the money need to stop posturing and posing and sit down and do some work.

You'd think $2.5 billion would be a big savings, wouldn't you?

hmmm 2.5 billion savings a year sounds like a lot to me, but I don't know what the new non-reformed welfare program includes...

Seems like a kind of silly idea to me.
