I've been mad at netflix for the last year now and can't make up my mind about them. Since we don't stream anything, the new prices are actually better for us, but I'm affraid that they will keep going up and up. I don't like what they are doing, but I understand it.

That's what I'm thinking, too. We'll see what happens in September. I'm just going to bump our plan down a bit so we keep paying the same amount. I hope they add more streaming titles by then.

I looked last night about changing my plan, and it looks like if you change your plan now you pay the new rates. I'll wait until right before the hike for existing subscribers before I change our plan. There's no sense in paying more for less at this point.

I don't use netflix. I just use redbox. Not as much selection, but there's usually something to watch for a dollar, when the mood strikes us. We did netflix a couple of years ago, when everyone was laid off. We watched movies almost every day, trying to get our money's worth out of it. We spend so much time sitting in front of the tv instead of outside or doing other things that I just stopped the subscription. Now, it's redbox about twice a month, so maybe $2 a month. That's ok with me. Price hikes, as long as patrons don't balk, will continue to happen. If you'll pay this price, maybe you'll pay a few dollars more. Once you pay those few dollars more for a little while, they want a few dollars more, and you'll probably pay that, too. and before you know it, the price has doubled and tripled, but what you are getting and your behavior didn't change at all.

we stopped directv 6 months ago, and we started using netflix. I think we will just use their streaming service. Dh wants to sign up for vudu? signing up is free, so we have that option if there is a new movie that we really want to watch.
