Five years ago, a high school custodian won $3,410,000 in the Washington State Lottery.

I don't think I could stop being frugal, I just hate to see money wasted. We'd probably remodel partsof the house or build a new one and get DH a newer truck but overall I'm happy as we are. I don't know if DH would want to stop working... I just couldn't see him around the house all day, the kids would drive him nuts.

I would sell my current house (that I co-own with my xh) and buy something else. I would also sell my current vehicles and buy something better for my honey and I. I would throw out the clothes my kids have that look more like garbage than like clothing and get them some new stuff. I'd pay off my student loans and any other debt. I would adopt. I'd pay for my honey to go back to school. And I'd put a gigantic retainer on that attorney and protect my kids.

But being frugal? I'd still do that. I hate seeing money wasted. I would continue to go to school, but I would do it with much, much less stress. The bulk of the money would be saved. I would still go to work when my education was finished. I would still do most of the other things I do (like not having AC). Not much would actually change.

I think my life would change drastically if I won the lottery. I like my job but I in reality I do it because it makes me money so that DH and I can buy the bills. If we had enough and did not need to work, I would quit my job and so would DH. Instead we would do vokunteer work we enjoyed, I'd take care of my parents as they get older and do some travel around the world. There is no way I would keep working full time.
