Yard sale tomorrow...wish me luck!

I HATE having a yard sale! It's just too much work. Our mountain town has a HUGE yardsale every Memorial Day, but I never have one then because no one comes up my street. However, my house is just full of crap I don't need.

So my friend and I decided to have one at her mil's house in a neighboring town.

So I'm hauling an EMBARRASSING amount of stuff 40 miles away to get rid of it and NONE of it is coming home with me!

The good news is that I'm getting rid of a ton of stuff. My dd is in 8th grade and she's an only child so she's finally ready to get rid of a lot of things.

I'm getting rid of a ton of my clothes that I hate. And dd has outgrown everything she owns or it's too young for her.

So wish me luck girls! I'm PMSing and I hate having a yard sale. I just may drive off the customers! LOL

How did your sale go? We participated in our community garage sale on Saturday and made $185! I was thrilled to get rid of some junk and make some cash. Need to do it again soon... we still have lots of junk!

I made about $150 bucks.

My friend thinks the best way to sell clothes ( and I agree) is to have grocery bags out and let people fill a bag for $2 or $3 bucks.

However, the problem with that was that I think people mixed my clothes up with hers.

And a bunch of my stuff is gone and I didn't sell it. So I'm thinking that my friend got a lot of my sales by accident or that people stuffed their bags with non-clothing as well.

But it's no biggee. I went right from there to Goodwiill and unloaded the rest of it and I'm so happy it's GONE!

Then it's a victory, yay!
