hello!! i try to take inventory as much as possible so i dont overbuy. i have a ton of food, a ton of toiletries and clothes, clothes and more clothes. i hate passing up good deals, but if youre not going to use it or have to throw it away cuz it will expire, then your saving money by not buying it at all. i did really well writing out a shopping list for a few months in the summer-i got away from that which i need to get back on it. when i write the list, i take a stock of what i have and what i need-hopefully you can stick by your shopping exile-good luck:-)

Well, I will still have to buy milk and bread and some produce occasionally....but I am going to try and stretch what I have for as long as I can!

I like to have atleast a months worth of pantry items in the house at all times just in case. We really have needed it lately. Rotate your stock often.

How'd the exile go, MM? Still going on?

Just curious, lol!, as I've been thinking that I need to do one for January, possible into February, to force me to use up things in my over-stuffed freezer and basement food storage shelves!

Sounds like you're doing great! Your success is inspiring me to do the same thing for January. We are almost too stocked up on toiletries, cleaning supplies, etc. Not to mention the freezer and pantry!
