I only went out to get this weeks flyer items at Sentry Foods. I figured I had enough money for that. Then by the meat section. They had all these packs of meat dirt cheap. Not old rotten stuff they were trying to get rid of. Angus beef and pork meat. These packages averaged 7-11$ each. The beef some packages had stew meat and a pot roast in them. Then there was 3 steaks and 4 Swiss steaks, then another 3 steaks and stew meat. Then there was one with 2 kinds of boneless pork chops, then one with a pork loin and boneless pork ribs, then one with a mess of pork shoulder meat. To bad they didn't have a deal with chicken. This was not on the weekly flyer. I stumble across it by accident. So I see I don't have enough money. I call my son. Ask if he can borrow me some money til Wednesday. I owe him 35$. That Seal a Meal and box of bags my friend gave me works great. So I got 3 packs of stew meat, 2 packs with steaks, 1 with pot roast, 1pk with Swiss steak, 3 pks with pork chops, 1 with pork loin, 1 with boneless pork ribs. The pork shoulder meat is in the crock now. That will be 3 meat. That's based on how the pork shoulder meat, pot roast and pork loin portion out once cooked. I'm thinking I might be able to stretch that to more than 17 meals. Based on how much we eat per meal. This is not including meat I already had in the freezer from other sales I bought at El Rey Mexican market. I figure we will have sides with the meat of course. If I can just stock up more on some veggies. We'll be in good shape for a while. Now it's just looking for a deal on some chicken and maybe some fresh fish. I'm sitting good in Food Saver bags. So I can vacuum seal some more food. I did get some corn on the cob today also. I'm going to get that cleaned and par cooked for the freezer. You can boil in them Food Saver bags. I've done it before.
