if it makes you feel any better, I spent $90 on just meat the other day. Just meat! I found pork loins for $2/lb so I bought several, same with turkey breast at $1.49/lb, bought 3 or 4 of those. And something else, but I don't remember what it was. Then found hamburger on sale in another store and bought $10 of that, too. Everything is in the freezer now, waiting for dinner inspiration.

I cooked the smallest of the pork loin on Sunday. I cut it in half after it was cooked, then sliced the rest. The only reason I cut it in half was because it fit on the plate, but my family didn't notice there was more, so everyone filled up on what was there and the sides available. That means 1 pork loin equals 2 meals.

Grocery prices are killing us, too. I stocked up heavy on pasta. I'm kind of scared about food prices on the rise. I'm rearranging space and bringing in food. I get food stamps, I spend every dollar very wisely and want to be sure there is plenty to get us thru any crisis. I'm always fairly well stocked. I could seriously feed my family for about a month without buying anything. The meals would be odd and probably suck, but it would be food vs no food...

This economy is scary.
