12ds is on a fun Scout cabin campout this weekend that included indoor swimming. When packing for it yesterday, he tried on his swim trunks from last summer. Too short & a little tight around the waist. So glad to have *the store* of hand-me-downs in the basement! There were swim trunks in a larger size that fit him. 2 pairs even! So nice not to have to run out and buy some!

This morning I had 14ds try on all the old swim trunks plus a couple pairs that were about the same size as the old ones that didn't fit 12ds. 14ds is a bit slimmer build so as long as they weren't too short, we'd be good. Turns out some still are ok for him. Each boy is set for the coming summer with 2 pairs. That's nice because I can keep one in the camper and one here at the house.

Plus now I know that those were the last swim trunks in the *basement store* and I can be on the lookout at the end of the summer for clearance prices in larger sizes.

I'm so lucky to have a couple different friends who pass things along for my boys. Add those to the hand-me-downs that I have from my own older sons and I've not had to buy too many clothes for either of them for most of their lives! Even with them both pretty much wearing the same size since they were 2 & 3!

It sure helps! When my Granma passed away in Dec., I thought I'd have to run buy some dress clothes. Luckily I checked our basement 1st! I found pants, shirts, sweaters & ties! Our hand-me-down stockpile has saved us tons of $$$!

I also shop online constantly, looking for deals online. One of my son's favorite drink is horizon organic milk and recently I was able to save big on it:
