I just got done par cooking some veggies for the freezer. Put them in Food Saver bags labeled and into the freezer. I got so far a couple bags of yellow and orange carrots,3 bags of summer squash, 2 bags of rutabaga, and 3 baggies of diced green pepper. Then got some sliced cucumber in the fridge for a healthy snack. I do have a bowl of rutabaga I set aside for dinner today. I figured it will go good with the beef rouladen I have for tonight. As well as a bowl of summer squash for tomorrows dinner veggie. My neighbor said she will continue giving me stuff from the garden as it ripens up. I'm loving packets of fresh veggies in the freezer for meals. I cleaned out my freezer on top my fridge. I am putting bags of veggies up there. Along with the ice cream stuff. Everything else I moved to the upright freezer. I been putting all food items in sections. So it's easier to find stuff. I am so thankful for the free veggies. They are a blessing with money being so extra tight.

Good for you Carolwood. Those veggies seem like a blessing to you during this tight budget time and it is nice to see you

Oh you can freeze cooked carrots. They sell them as frozen veggies at the store. I cooked mine 3/4 done. Then put them in Food Saver bags. Now I got a fridge full of cucumbers. Today I plan to make some creamy cucumber salad.
