How fo I save tips?

I am a waitress, I work 4 nights a week. It can go drom 35-125 dollars per night. I buy the groceries and pay for things for my son, and gas. The rest of the money is mine to do what I want with. I just can't seem to save it. Any advice? It varies so much so it makes it extra hard.
Thanks in advance.

If it were me, I would save 10% of your pay each week (kind of like tithing, but to your bank account instead).
what if you decided that you need no less than $XX to get gas and groceries and $X for the baby, and all the rest goes into savings no matter what?
My DH and I do a strict cash budget for extra things-eating out, little stuff, etc. Everything else goes into the bank.
Do you have a checking account? Get a debit card and put everything except your cash budget for extras in it. Only use your debit card for budgetted items like grocerries, gas, etc.
Get your banking online and maybe sign up for a budget tracker like mint.com. That is what we use to help us with our budget.
Anyway, then only use the cash you have for extras, and it will help you see what you have and what you have left.
