My son is 4 and a half diagonised begining of Dec with ADHD and ODD. We tried Vyvance with horrible side effects and the doctor took him off it finally after I refused to try it any more. He was on cholodine for sleeping which helped while he was on the vyvance. He was put on Tenex to treat his adhd and so far for the most part I see a huge difference in him with it. It was increased once so he takes .5mg 3x a day now. The cholodine did no good for him sleeping any more and neither did meletonin so after about a week of him at the 3x a day and nothing to help sleep hes sleeping through the night. Refuses to sleep in his room and sleeps on our living room floor now.

I'm not an expert by any means, but I believe Intuniv (the repackaged version of Tenex for ADHD) lasts all day. You might check into that medication since it's the same thing but I'm pretty sure it's extended release.

Also, if sleep issues come up again, you might try a different dosage with melatonin. If it's too high, it can actually keep some people awake. Our son has to take 3 mg for it to work but a friend's son only takes 1 mg and it works wonders. May be worth revisiting this one if you didn't try different dosages.
