Have you had a chance to visit the Parent Soup PDD-NOS/Aspergers board? It is great! My son is 6 and last year his principal told me he had AS. We are just now finishing up his evaluation (a year later). It turns out his issues are related to his ADD and Central Auditory Processing Disorder. So I also know the pergatory of not knowing! The ladies on that bord continue to be very helpful to me. (Liam has a big social issue).

I'll try to post more, but now I have to get him to school.

Something that has worked at my house is lists. We have lists posted everywhere on how to do things. T can not seem to get from the beginning to the end of a task without one. The most basic one is how to get ready for her day.

1. Get out of bed.

2. Get dressed

3. Brush hair

4. Find glasses

6. Pack backpack, make sure you have all your homework inside it.

7. Eat breakfast

8. TAKE MEDS!

9. Brush teeth.

etc etc etc

One of T's teachers suggested we do this. Whenever she gets lost doing something we can refer her to the list on how to do it and she can find her place. It seems to give her more of a sence of control over her situation. We keep this one taped to her bedroom door. It does not solve every problem, but it does help with the organization around here.
