Any experience with dexidrine in 3 year old?

I'm new here, looking for anyone with experience with ADHD in 2-3 year olds.  My son has autism and (I believe, though never diagnosed) ADHD.  His behavior and hyperactivity is getting progressively worse, despite intense behavioral therapy, so we are going to start him on dexedrine asap.  I guess I'm wondering what to expect? Any success stories for that age? Any weird side effects? TIA!

That's a med I'm not familiar with, although my son has been on other stimulants. From what I've read it appears to be a time release medication. My one concern would be how you are going to administer it to him. Will they prescribe it in capsule form?

It looks like the side effects are similar to other stimulant meds, we had issues with weight loss/appetite suppression on them. Try to make his meals count, get him to eat a really good breakfast and make sure he still tries to eat midday even if he's not hungry. You might have to get a bit sneaky to get the calories in him.

Please let us know how he does on it, good luck!
