I have a son, 10 with pretty classic ADHD. He's doing well on Concerta. I also have a girl, 6, who I wonder about ADHD. She is very different from my son. The main issue with her is that she talks constantly! She is also loud a lot of the time. I can see this being a potential problem in Kindergarten this year. Although, her Pre-K teacher didn't have any concerns. She also said she was careful in her work, not rushing through things like some other kids. She gets along with others well and is well-liked. She is very high energy and often is too physical with others (overly friendly, not aggressive). Does this sound familiar to anyone else? What about meds, would they help with this?

HI!

Being loud and talking constantly are Girl things,

A child may HAVE ADHD, but it is not what they ARE. Never tell a child they ARE ADHD.
