my DS is 10 and has the DX of ADHD and Bipolar. He takes abilify, lithium, seroquel, and Focalin. The focalin is for the ADHD. Everything else, ie conerta, destabilizes him too much. GL with your son and explore all of what is going on!! FX he feels better soon!
Thank you for responding, if you don't mind me asking, how old is your DS and what was the diagnosis and how was/is it treated?
I have had the thought but I think I was afraid to ask, I did finally ask him if it was like a voice in his head or his own thoughts and he said it was like a voice in his head....of course that didn't make me feel any better but we will be discussing with his ped and psych nurse.

Hi, and welcome
I really don't have any experience with this type of thing. DD does worry about things, and stopping the meds seemed to help that.
I would stop the Concerta, and see the psych. It is possible that the Anxiety needs to be under control before he is medicated for the ADHD.
ON another note, my DD is planning to adopt also, after the same "icky" talk.
A child may HAVE ADHD, but it is not what they ARE. Never tell a child they ARE ADHD.
