HI all. My DS is on Concerta currently. He has been having problems with having diarrhea. I just look it up more in depth and found out it has lactose in it...he is lactose intolerant! No wonder he has been having this problem while on it! Anyway, I know metadate is similar. Does anyone know if it is just as good? He is wearing a patch today, but we don't like his moods on them. He gets all down on himself and doesn't seem like a boy. If we go down in dosage, he is out of control. I am thinking metadate is the way to go since it is similar, but I am scared to switch again. Any experiences?

I wonder about the Daytrana patch? Same medication in an obviously different form (maybe in a different form it doesn't have lactose?). A friend's son uses it and it gets him through the whole day.
