BEST INFORMATION I EVER GOT...

Children or adults with ADHD can create chaos throughout the entire family, stressing everyone in the process.

THANK YOU!!!!!!! for that link at the top. You're totally right -- it's been the BEST information I've EVER gotten about my DS's behaviors and what *he's* struggling with on a day-to-day basis!!

I've been judged and chided and ridiculed and avoided because of his behaviors and attitude. So, because of my ignorance, I turned that into judging him and anger towards him. It's gotten to the point that I almost can't stand my sweet little 8 year old! I'm ashamed to say that I let ignorance just about tear us apart. (Up until a few days ago, when I started really reaching out, (starting the process of) educating myself and those around him... I was debating sending him back to live with his dad and basically washing my hands of the whole "mess".) I'm soooo glad I didn't throw in the towel! I have never before sat back and looked through HIS eyes at HIS world. What a wake up call! - And a very good conversation starter!! Aryc is home sick from school today because his asthma was so severe they almost admitted him when we went to the ER last night. Today will be a great day to quietly sit and talk with him throughout the day about what his world is like to him. I've never done that before and I'm actually really excited to get to know him on this new level.

I don't want to be angry and judgmental. I want to understand. Thank you sooo much for helping to get the ball rolling -- in a big way!!
