Have to switch dr's scared and lots of ?

Okay I didn't know how to phrase the question as it gives you so little room!!
Due to insurance changes we may have to switch dr's. We've been going to the same dr for my son's whole life, he's 8

In my personal experience changing providers, they tend to want to do what the previous doctor recommended. We were with Kaiser, then had to switch to another plan and returned to Kaiser and my own medication remained the same, even though the way it was administered was fairly new at the time (taking bcp's straight through for medical reasons). I was prepared to argue my case for keeping it the same and it ended up being "ok, let's just go with that since it's working." I suspect you'll encounter the same thing.
Changing doctors is always hard, but it can be a smooth transition.
Good luck!
Michelle
HI
I would call the Dr's within your new plan, and speak with them beforehand. Also, ask your current ped for recommendations.
A child may HAVE ADHD, but it is not what they ARE. Never tell a child they ARE ADHD.
