Have you been able to talk to him at all about why he is acting this way, if someone at school is bothering him, or if he's worried about something?

My Stepdaughter, she's 17 now, used to act out like that when her friends said things to her that upset her. It would come on all of a sudden. That's how I knew. It was usually something simple that she had blown way out of proportion, but occassionally it was something I had to help with.

Usually it took 2 or 3 attempts to get her to open up...sometimes the threat of "if you don't tell me whats bothering you, you're going to live with the consequences of your actions" lecture, but eventually she'd open up and we'd talk it out.

Just a suggestion.

Thank you, I am trying to talk to him. He is not so easy to talk to. He goes to a Boces type school, so I know they have staff to deal with this. I told him He is not to act like this to me and his sisters. Kathy
