How dose your ADHD act in big groups?

DS ADHD seems to increase when DS is in bigger groups. I wondered if anyone else noticed it. DS seems to get almost more anxious. When he was 4 and we were in church he could not stop talking and at times he would get up and run all over the church. Needless to say we found a church that Took DS form Sunday school to childrens church and that helped greatly. I am not the only one to notice it. DS Kindergarten teacher noted that he was having great difficulty just trying to go in

Hi, it sounds like some anxiety issues. DD hasn't had it with crowds, but new situations bother her greatly.

A child may HAVE ADHD, but it is not what they ARE. Never tell a child they ARE ADHD.

Until recently and still some my 11 year old DS does not like crowds! He has always had anxiety with crowds. Recently he is in boy scouts and he is learning how to leave home and be with a big crowd. This is good as I did not think he could do it but they voted him patrol leader and we told him he needs to lead by example. So he is. I love seeing this after so long of no crowds mom,all the time. He still will not go to a sleepover with 10 kids because he knows he does better 1-1. How can I argue So do I

My DS (10) has a little bit of difficulty in large crowds because of the noise.

My son is absolutely better in smaller groups. The more stuff (including people) is around him the more chances he will be impulsive.

He's absolutely more uncomfortable in big groups. A lot of ADD kids have that problem because of the sensory processing issues that often go along with ADD.
