I took Jamie for his first blood draw this morning for his depakote levels and he sat on my lap very quietly and looked at the ceiling while they did it, he never moved a muscle or said a word. When they were all done and he'd picked out a band aid he looked at me and said, Ok NOW can I go to McDonalds and have my BREAKFAST.

I thought the nurse was going to die laughing. I don't know what I was so worried about, he did great. I explained to him on the way home that he's going to have to go back and have it done once and a while to find out how good the red pills are working and he said next time he wants to watch the blood come out.

Way to go Jamie!!!!!!!!!Glad it was a good experience for both of you.

Joiner watched the blood. We always joke before it is taken about what color it will be this time. I always tell him it will be green or blue.

That is wonderful for both of you! I hope he thoroughly enjoyed his breakfast :)

I cannot even imagine Taylor letting that ever happen to her. At her 6 year check-up she FINALLY let them take her blood pressure! LOL
