Ok this is going to be long but I really need some advice on my 4 year old DD. She is a GREAT kid. Loving, caring, picks things up super fast. But she also has some issues and I have no idea if its normal 4 year old behavior or something else. A little background on her. She is a VERY stubborn, hardheaded little girl. She learns things on her own terms when she is ready no matter WHAT I do. I tried to break her of the bink at 6 months and one day at a year old she tossed it aside and

It's really tough to say what it could be, but it wouldn't hurt to talk to your pediatrician or ask for a referrel to a developmental pediatrician or someone that deals behavior issues. Even if it turns out to be nothing, they might have some ideas for you on how to deal with her tantrums.

I second everything that cmmelissa said. Also, some kids just will not be made to do something. I think potty training will be like the binky--one day she'll decide that she's not going to wear diapers anymore, and that'll be that. I understand the frustration, though; my daughters were 3 1/2 and 4 1/2 once they were finally potty trained.
Go in and talk with the pediatrician for her 4 year checkup. If nothing else, you'll feel better for having gotten his/her advice.

I'm a Type A mom, and my husband and two precious girls have ADHD. My youngest also struggles with PDD-NOS and Sensory Processing Disorder. Visit the chaos at our house atHas she been checked out by a pediatrician? If not then I would get that done, and go from there. There are several things that come to mind , but i am not a dr.
