I received the report from our neurologist and under recommendations he mentioned stimulants and possibly neuroleptics (when my son is a little older and weighs more, he's only 3). Why would he suggest antipsychotic drugs?? That completely took me by surprise!

Sorry, that prob isn't all the info you need. DS was dx with ADHD with odd-like behavior. He's three and our main struggle right now is aggression.

Hi, and welcome!

Some kids with ADHD have comorbids or other conditions that need to be treated before the ADHD. Does the Dr suspect anything besides ADHD/ODD?

It sounds like the type of ADHD he has is best treated with that medication.
