Hello everybody.

I have three children ages 9, 7 and almost 3.

My nine year old daughter was diagnosed with combination type ADHD, OCD and motor/fine motor delays three years ago. At her last testing (four months ago) she tested at a 6 1/2 year old level across the board. She is on an IEP at school which includes speech therapy, occupational therapy and special education classes (2 1/2 hours a day). We have finally found a schedule that seems to work for

Hi, and welcome!

Is she receiving therapy for Social Skills? If not I would look into it, it does help alot.

A child may HAVE ADHD, but it is not what they ARE. Never tell a child they ARE ADHD.

She has been on medication for three years. She started off on 5 mg of Adderall when she was 6. Later the doctor tried her on 30 mg of Vyvanse. I did not like the side effects...no appetite and not sleeping.

Welcome to the board! Is your daughter on medication yet? We found that when our son started medication, not only did his behavior improve dramatically, but so did his social skills. He had one friend before and now seems to be friends with most of the kids he encounters. He just blends in now.
