Researchers found that some people are misdiagnosed with ADHD when it's actually OCD causing issues with focus and behavior, both disorders have similar symptoms.
Reuven Dars, PhD., and his team found individuals with ADHD tend to act more impulsively when it comes to taking risks, and they rarely consider the repercussions of such actions. On the other hand, people with OCD tend to dwell on the consequences of their actions, which may cause them to struggle when it comes to decision-making. The researchers also found in real life scenarios individuals with ADHD had more difficulty with impulse control.

So DS has OCDs but I think its not related to the ADHD. Think he just rolled double snake eyes on mental health genes because we got anxiety too. I have OCD not enough that they keep me from functions and I think most people have SOMETHING. When he is on his medication he is very fucused and in tune. Borderline anti social because he doesn't want to be bothered with juvenile things. He has this need to please and do good which also plays a rule in not joining the crowd, but when he is not on his medication he is just a jumble of energy and he just HAS to move. Like a Mexican jumping bean and he doesn't have anything grounding him but the medicine tunes that other stuff out and he focuses on task at hand. I wouldn't say is impulsive without his medicine just all over the place and more likely to do something he shouldn't.
Its interesting though but I really wonder how much is just there just isn't 1 diagnosis for anyone...
