Our son achieved something I wouldn't have thought possible just a month ago: His teachers named him class Star of the Week for, get this ... good behavior! He started the year with two visits to the principal's office, but after two boosts to his Concerta dosage, he's doing great. His teachers have been so happy with his improvement (not just due to the meds, but through our son's own effort), they wanted to reward him. He's only the second boy in his class to get the recognition.
So, anyone feeling like there's no hope and your child will always struggle, things can change. I would never in a million years think our son would be rewarded for good behavior and it happened.
There is hope.
