My 9 year old daughter is having her 'official' testing done this Friday and we're looking at not only the almost given dioagnosis of ADHD, but also possible minor learning issues, OD, etc.

The local Childrens' Hospital is doing the testing, so I feel confident in their care, but yeah, I completely agree with you in regards to the rules etc.

OH girls are fun aren't they?

My DD is 12, and yes, it is the preteen/puberty thing IMO. Kids with ADHD are just...MORE though. My oldest had the same problems, but younger DD had them MORE.

Who is doing the testing? I would mention the problems to them, as it sounds like Anxiety rearing it's ugly head.

I would also set firm limits, NO pushing, no being rude, and if it happens there are definite and immediate consequences.

If she does in fatc have ADHD, depending on the type, meds help with the impulsiveness, but if she has ODD the only thing is therapy.

A child may HAVE ADHD, but it is not what they ARE. Never tell a child they ARE ADHD.
