strattera-adderall question

Holy cow. My ds, age almost 10, was doing great on 15 mg of Adderall in the am for almost 2 years. At his last checkup, md thought that Strattera was worth a try. So, she put him on a weaning schedule: 15 mg Adderall and strattera for two weeks; 10 mg Adderall and strattera for two weeks; then 5 mg Adderall and Strattera for two weeks; finally, Strattera only. I just got a call from his teacher saying he has had the worst week ever. This was the first week of Strattera only. I am disappointed. All things point to ineffectiveness of Strattera, right? I plan to call the md on Monday, but wondered what you learned people thought. Any input would be appreciated. thanks

I have heard good &7 bad about it. Why, if he was doing so well on Adderall, didn't she just raise the dose to 20 mil?

Actually 15 mg of Adderall was sufficient. We were just having a checkup. Things were moving along fine. MD just thought, I believe, that Strattera would be worth a try. I was hoping it would work out, but it doesn't look to be the case. I will be calling MD on Monday. I just wondered if anyone else had had that problem with Strattera not working.

Thanks for your response.
