For those of you using straterra, what have the doctors told you about long term effects? Ritalin has been around for many-many years, but from what I've read, the test on Straterra only lasted 9 weeks. I'd like to give it a try, but am worried about long-term issues and complications.

Does anyone have any info?

I haven't read anything - but I do know from the Concerta website that that has only been tested for 6 weeks. I don't know about the Ritalin. Ritalin and Concerta and are the same medicine though - methalyphenidate (sp?).

If you do try it, let us know how it goes...

Both my DH and my 7yo DS are on Strattera. I haven't seen anything on long term affects and honestly haven't asked our doc about it. I know it was just released last year, so I don't think anybody really knows. I fully trust our doc, and this is one of those things I'm just taking on faith. Wish I could be of more help.
