I just ran across this article from a few years ago about summer camps for kids with ADD:

we've been lucky DS goes to a regular camp and its great for him. The go from 8am to 4pm literally and its great for DS. There down time options for free time but he picks sports or swimming. we looked at other options 2 relay heavily on taking kids on daily or weekly field trips. Seemed everyother day they were going someplace. Even before his ADHD diagnosis seemed like a wrong fit. Would he wonder off and get lost, do I really trust a group of high school and college kids to watch him and 50 plus other kids at a beach or amusement park? will he sit still on a bus. School has offered him free tuition last 2 years to an education enrichment but it sounds like summer school to me even the schools actual camp they offer is 90% in the school no swimming (thats extra and you have to pick them up and transport to the high school) and it only runs for July and since we don't go back to school until late august thats 3 weeks with no child care so the first summer it just seemed like our best option and its great. When I explained a typical day to Dr she agreed probably be ok without meds over the summer
