Do alot of you choose not to give your kids meds in the summer? We are still fairly new to all the ADHD stuff our daughter was finally diagnosed (after many frustrating years) in 4th grade so we are still trying to figure it all out. She started taking meds for it last year (5th grade) and is now on Concerta 54 mg. and it has helped alot she is finally able to stay on task and make a few friends. I just wondered what the advatage would be to not giving the meds in the summer months? I have so enjoyed her being able to concentrate long enough to finish a task and am so grateful to the teacher that finally suggested the problem might not be her fault or ours for that matter. Last year was the best school year she has ever had!
