Switching from Concerta to Strattera..

We have decided to switch DS to Strattera. The mood affects with the Concerta were awful.It seemed to affect his defiantness more making it worse. Anyone have any experence with Strattera? Good or Bad?

Our son started taking Strattera last monday. They said that it could take 2-4 weeks to see any diff. in his behavior. We have seen HUGE diff. just in the past week. He was on Aderall and it was causing major mood swings, anxiety, and rage like fits that he has never had before, although it did help with his focus and inattention.

Strattera to us so far has been a God send. His anxiety is almost gone, the mood swings have almost comp. stopped, and we have been able to get through 30 min of homework the past 2 nights with no tears, melt downs, fights, yelling, or with out him *going in and out* and with out me having an anxiety attack before we are through. LOL!!!

It has been great, he is sleeping great, eating like a horse (ds is 6 and weighs 48lbs) and he ate 2 pork chops and sides

I'm so glad to hear Strattera's working for you! Can I ask you, what dose is your son on, and how are you dosing it?
